Thousands of Stonecroft women gather together each month in small groups across the country and around the world to pray for their communities. Your local Prayer connection may be the only group gathering consistently, month after month, to pray for God’s influence and grace over your city, town, or village. You may be the only ones praying for the salvation of women in your schools, government, churches, offices, and marketplaces. This new prayer format (found in 2orMore) provides the framework for your prayer gatherings and allows flexibility as each Prayer Coordinator tailors it to fit her unique audience. We pray you will experience great inspiration in your time with the Lord as you prepare for your local Prayer Connections.
We want your feedback. Use this Prayer Coordinator blog to let us know how the new format works for you. What are you doing to customize the Prayer Connection format for your group? Don’t miss this opportunity to share your insights, questions, and suggestions with other Prayer Coordinators.

“Get the people sitting close together; ventilate the meeting place; keep the singing lively; let the prayers be specific and the minister brief in his remarks; announce the subjects in advance; don’t scold those who come for those who don’t; keep your discouragement to yourself and God; vary hymns with prayers, so that not more than two prayers are consecutive; keep remarks informal, pointed, and the meeting short; get all to participate, even if you have to speak to them in private beforehand; avoid controversy; be punctual; and most important, keep in the Spirit.
—from They Called Him Mr. Moody by Richard K Curtis
In the mid to late 1800’s, this advice was given by evangelist D.L. Moody on how to lead an effective prayer meeting. Though times & tactics have changed, many would suggest leading a prayer meeting well is still an art to be developed.
This blog is a place for us to share ideas. What has helped you lead effective prayer meetings? What tips have you learned in using the additional prayer resources you’re receiving? How would you encourage a new Prayer Coordinator in her role? Feel free to share – may the Lord strengthen us all as we spur one another on to love and good deeds.
